Free-Spirited • Individualistic • Honest
🌙 history
| 🌌 Introduction
── ⋅ ── ⏾ ── ⋅ ──
Mia Lunare is one of the deuteragonists in Bewilthred. Quiet, aloof, and introspective, Mia’s head has always been stuck in the clouds. Growing up sheltered, she’s always been always looking for a world beyond our own. Being left only with fantastical stories and star-maps to tell her what goes on outside, Mia has become skilled in the art of dreaming for something more. She craves a life full of adventure and has been fascinated with astronomy since she was young. If it were up to her, she’d spend her days traveling from planet to planet, charting unknown territory, and learning about the universe itself…
…However, this choice is hard for her to make. Despite her craving the unknown, Mia paradoxically also fears it. She lives vicariously through her escapist fantasies both due to her being terrified of actual change and her craving some sort of meaning in her life. Her head is constantly racing with ideas and wants to explore the world beyond, but if she cannot overcome her fears, she won’t be pursuing any of her dreams anytime soon. If she had the courage to go forth and let the wave of doubts wash away for just one day, maybe then she’d actually live the life she’s always dreamed of…
…For now, though, she stays stationary like a statue. Until she finds the strength to take the first step, she will be forever stuck in her comfort zone, left to wonder what would happen if only she chased something more…
But maybe with the right circumstance, she might be able to get that first foot in the door…
Now with the warriors, she can only hope she might have a chance to let her dreams become a reality…
Adventure only awaits those who seek it after all. With the warriors help, maybe it’s finally time for her to start taking a peek…
| 🌌 Before The Story
── ⋅ ── ⏾ ── ⋅ ──
The idea that Mia grew up in a “bubble” is more literal than some might assume. Mia’s home, Pervigeo, is a smaller planet surrounded by “home bubbles”, which are formations of land protected by a bubble-like barrier. Mia’s parents both moved to the planet shortly after Mia’s mother, Florence, joined Divinity’s court as the Ambassador of Wildlife. As a result, Mia was always planned to be sheltered from the rest of the world, even before she was conceived.
There is no doubt that Florence has always been overprotective of her daughter. Her attempts to shield Mia from the dangers of the world has led to Mia growing up not knowing much about it at all. Mia grew up not knowing anyone outside Pervigeo, even prior to the main story, she had barely left her planet for anything, something particularly unusual considering how small Pervigeo is. However, despite her mother’s attempts, Mia rarely swayed from her natural curiosity. As a child, she was impulsive, going in places she wasn’t supposed to out of a desire to learn and understand….
…But Florence’s warnings weren’t entirely without merit. After certain events in Mia’s childhood, her more sporadic nature faded. The specifics of what happened cannot be delved into without spoilers, however, it can be said that Mia was given a harsh reminder of the dangers the real world has to offer. This was what led her to develop her fear of the unknown, and only encouraged Florence to become even more fearful and protective of her daughter.
This new fear didn’t stop Mia’s curiosity, though. Even as she grew older and her more impulsive acts faded, Mia still persisted in her desire to examine and explore. She became enticed by the concept of adventuring. She read fantasy books and always imagined herself running off to learn about the world on her own.
This interest was only encouraged by the fact Mia had always been more “peculiar” than most on Pervigeo. Though she struck up insightful conversations with whoever had the courage to talk to her, she rarely made any proper friends that lasted. Additionally, her more quiet, introverted nature made it harder for her to jump headfirst into any social situations. Since she found more comfort in her own company than those of others, it made her even more keen on indulging in these escapist fantasies.
Thus, Mia became obsessed with the idea of a journey, but was too scared of the reality of pursuing it herself. Initially, this fixation was easy for Florence to keep in check, but it ballooned into a new problem of its own once Mia’s most apparent desire surfaced…
Mia desires to be an astronomer. She has always wanted to learn about the world outside of Pervigeo. She’d do anything to learn about the planets, stars, and solar systems she was locked out of for so long. If she could journey, meet the people there, see what life was like somewhere else, maybe she’d finally understand what she’d been missing. Maybe then she’d finally feel…complete.
The very suggestion of this left Florence petrified.
…A detail that’s been conveniently left out of most of Mia’s life is her late father, Helios. Mia grew up with little information on who he was, or how he passed. However, as a child, she would often find his old things hidden around. Old Star-maps, telescopes, and the like allowed her to pursue her interests even as when she was young. Mia never got a clear picture of who Helios was, but these objects helped give her at least some indication that she wasn’t the only one in her family who felt the way she did. Luckily, this also meant that Mia could kick start her dreams as soon as she could…
…Florence however continuously persuades Mia to choose another career path. She has never stated why, but given the mysterious circumstances of Helios’s death, it wouldn’t be out of the question to say that astronomy might’ve had something to do with it. Mia has always been perplexed by her mother’s disapproval, especially since Florence is fine with Mia pursuing a career outside of becoming an Ambassador, it makes her choosing to stop Mia from pursuing her dreams feel extremely personal. Mia may not know why Florence acts the way she does, but she knows that she wants this more than anything, even with the consequences it may come with…
…But it’s going to require more than dreaming to get herself there.
| 🌌 Act 1
── ⋅ ── ⏾ ── ⋅ ──
By the time Bewilthred’s story begins, Florence had shut down yet another one of Mia’s attempts to pursue astronomy. After discovering she had been star-gazing instead of attending to her daily chores, Florence was displeased. Though more afraid than angry, she still assigned Mia the job of tending to the animals within their home bubble while she was away at her daily Ambassador meeting. Though not thrilled her mother was once again refusing to take her interests seriously, Mia complied and did her usual work within their living space.
As Mia went about her typical morning routine, her thoughts spiraled. Having no-one else, she began to confide in a bird, of all things. She wondered, how could something she loves be so wrong? So dangerous? No matter how hard she tried to prove otherwise, her mother would never listen, and even if she did, Mia knew her own fear would keep her from pursuing what she wanted. She couldn’t help but wonder if she was destined to be stuck living this way forever…
Is this really all there is…?
…As that thought crossed her mind, the very bird who’d been listening to her rant pecked at her to follow. Although strange, she couldn’t help but be a little intrigued…
Then the ground beneath her violently shook.
After tumbling around her home bubble as a result of the shake, Mia found the bird had led her to a rift. Excited by the chance to use this to prove herself to her mother, she tried to get a closer look…
…However, the look ended up being a bit closer than expected, as shortly after taking a peek, she tripped and fell inside.
Shortly after falling into the rift, Mia ended up in a garden on another planet named “Quescillia” and met six other teenagers just like her. Together, they meet Peace, the Keeper of Peace and manager of order in the universe. The seven of them are told they are part of a prophecy which says that one day seven warriors all from rifts would unite to save their universe from a rising galactic threat known as Omne, and learn that they just might be the last hope in stopping said threat from taking over the world as we know it. Peace assigns them her second in command, Hanabi to help guide them throughout their journey.
Despite their strange coming together, the group strives to do their best. Together as The Warriors of Peace (Or The WOP for short), they swear to always come out on top, and become who they’re meant to be…no matter who or what stands in their way.
Let’s just hope their efforts aren’t completely in vain…the universe depends on it.
"A wise woman said I’m alive, nobody’s ever told her she’s wrong..."
| 🌙 Introduction
── ⋅ ── ⏾ ── ⋅ ──
On first impression, Mia is aloof, quiet, and introspective. She tries to blend in with the crowd, keeping her head low and sticking to maintaining the behavior of those around her rather than becoming an outlier herself. This can make Mia come across as ditzy or air-headed, however those who get closer find Mia quickly find this is not the case. While she can get “stuck in her own head”, she is far from stupid, and is in-fact quite witty when given the chance to speak. She is additionally far from a push-over, and leans towards being one of the more sardonic and even sassier members of the warriors. She loves a good debate and is always looking to learn something new, either about others or herself. After all, isn’t that what life is about?
Though Mia often keeps to herself, when given the time to shine she can be an excellent leader in battle. However, her general assertiveness is often washed over by her more outgoing and extroverted peers. Mia also struggles deeply with her identity. Despite her fears of the unknown and change, she craves meaning in her life. The unknown both entices and terrifies Mia, making her feel like she wants to take a shot and just let it go, but at the same time being engulfed with doubts of what could go wrong. Although she finds comfort in things staying the same, it can’t help her from yearning for something more.
As a result, Mia is an inherent escapist. She loses herself in fantasy in order to prevent confronting the double edged sword of reality. She fears what’ll happen if she steps out of her comfort zone, so she sticks to testing the waters with her own ideas instead of taking the full dive. While this is good for any new venture, it is necessary for Mia to take that first plunge in order to progress as a person. It’s up to her to choose her life for herself. If Mia cannot even convince herself this is worth pursuing, then she won’t be changing anything anytime soon.
Unfortunately, one of Mia’s most evident flaws (especially as she starts to come out of her shell) is her stubbornness and self focus. In comparison to the other warriors, Mia is significantly more in tune with her ideals. This isn’t to say she doesn’t struggle, obviously her lack of pursuing her wants shows that, but when she wants something, she wants it badly. She struggles to compromise on her ideas and can be perceived as selfish because of this. Mia grew up in an environment where she was pushed to develop her ideas inward instead of testing them out in the world, thus when they are challenged she is faced with the dichotomy of “my view versus theirs”. This can make her feel as if her identity is being squandered even when the people around her are being more reasonable than she’d like to admit. Mia has gotten used to the idea of never being understood, but goodness does she know the hurt aches all the same. If anything, her stubbornness is a protective shield from the knowledge that nobody will ever know her as innately as she wishes they would. If she opened that vulnerable part of herself though, perhaps she’d be able to be understood at last.
Most of Mia’s key points of learning throughout the story is letting herself brace the unknown and being prepared for the change it might bring. Mia’s ideas of change and danger have been wildly warped, both by her mother’s paranoia and the more fantastical framework she has for what adventure is like. Because of this, Mia’s perspective on pursuing new opportunities is incredibly skewed in a black and white fashion. Either something is dangerous and must be avoided at all costs, or something is just too appealing to pass up and should be gone into without a second thought. Mia must learn to ground herself and find the balance to be able to pursue new things with reasonable caution. Things might not always end up as she imagined them to be, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth pursuing.
Additionally, Mia must learn to actually allow herself to pursue what she wants actively. Mia has spent a lot of her time only speculating what life could be like, now that she’s with the warriors she can actually pursue her wants. The only problem is that Mia has to actively push herself in order to do so. She will have to do things that might not be comfortable for her, and she’ll have to trust in herself in order to be capable of what lies ahead. Once she breaks out of these patterns, she will find there are many wonderful things waiting for her on the other side.
| 🌙 ACT 1
── ⋅ ── ⏾ ── ⋅ ──
Mia starts out Act 1 being thrust into the adventure she’s always dreamed of. Though she’s obviously excited, Mia is also a bit terrified now that everything is coming to fruition so fast. This leads to Mia ping-ponging between being afraid of and excited by the new opportunities in front of her. She also finds this as an incredible learning experience and tries to take in as much as she can, especially considering all the new planets she will finally get to visit.
Mia’s main learning point in Act 1 is finally taking that first step into the unknown and breaking the misconceptions she’s built up about what the world is like. Both the good and bad ideas Mia has developed about the world are directly challenged now that she has to come face to face with it. Additionally, Mia starts to learn to peek outside of her own head a bit. Though Mia has never disliked her alone time, it’s important for her to still have some healthy connections, especially ones that will support her and her interests and help push her out of her own worries.
Additionally, Mia’s stubbornness is challenged through these connections. Through bonding with her teammates, especially with Jack, she begins to compromise on her own ideas and help other people understand her own. Mia’s integrity helps pave the way for her other teammates to be true to themselves. In return, Mia learns how to let herself work in a group, rather than just be stuck in her ways. Through being with the warriors, Mia learns that she can be both understood and that she can work as a part of a larger unit while still being seen as herself. By learning to balance this line of sacrifice and assertiveness, she becomes a better person and is able to pursue what she wants with more confidence. Jack, Phoenix, and Kai also open her up to multiple adventurous opportunities with their chaotic antics. While she still has some work to do, the best teacher is experience, and with the warriors there will be plenty of that to go around.

Her full name is “Caramia”, Mia is just her nickname.
Due to being a Deerling, she has incredibly good hearing
She’s the only member of the WOP to technically have 2 pre-WOP outfits! This is because Jack helped change her out of her fit from her home bubble and then her new fit got upgraded once she got her symbol from Peace.
She was my sona in 2017-2018 before becoming a Bewilthred character, it’s why she has so many old animations LOL
…Additionally, she used to be associated with a certain Popular Franchise. I will not tell you what Popular Franchise it is but I will tell you it has mutated animals. Yeah.
Her symbol (moon) is also referred to as a crescent.
She writes fanfiction and it is one of her biggest secrets. I just think that's funny. The children yearn for the AO3.

Work in Progress. Take everything here w/ a grain of salt!“She’s never going to take anything I do seriously will she. No matter how I try she never seems to be even a little bit interested in anything I do. I know safety is important but…is it really worth being stuck here forever? It’s like I’m living a lie!” (Chapter 4 of the Bewilthred Script)
“Don’t you feel it too? These should be the best years of my life! I should be pursuing my dreams! But yet…Well...it doesn’t matter, this is all I am set to do in life anyways. This is my only purpose and there’s no way I can really work around it. But… I can dream, right?” (Chapter 4 of the Bewilthred Script)
“Is this it? Am I really stuck here? Was it all for nothing? Am I really going to die alone?” (Chapter 9 of the Bewilthred Script)
“I’m sorry if this is a weird question, but are you a princess? “I’m flattered but no. I’m not royalty by any means. My mother just has a thing for “elegant” attire…y’know…being an ambassador and all.” Ooh! You must have a really fancy house then! “Not a house necessarily but, CAREFUL!” (Chapter 9 of the Bewilthred Script, Italicized is Jack)
