Eira Morozov is a later deuteragonist of Bewilthred. Reclusive, quiet, and ever elusive, the best way to describe Eira would be to state what they are to most, a mystery. Known by the general population as either a complete stranger or under their previous moniker “The Beast”, Eira has fine tuned for themselves a life of solitude. This was never out of choice, however. Eira’s trust in people has been tested time and time again to the point they can’t trust a single person can come to them without a bit of fear in their eyes. It is only with the warriors that these past wounds can begin to heal.
Though they are introduced later in Bewilthred’s story, they serve as a strong mentor figure for all of the warriors. They take the WOP in after a major story event, and from that the warriors have to put together the pieces of Eira’s past…and figure out why they keep trying to push Hanabi away.
Could it be…they knew each other before?
Only one way to find out.

A common misconception about the Keepers is that they can create life. Given their positions in the universe, it is a reasonable yet misguided assumption. The reality is that most beings in the universe originated from a spark of complete chance. The first living things in the universe (besides basic bacteria and what not) would become known as “wanderers”. They have this name for their nature of wandering about from planet to planet. They used universal rifts, which were commonplace considering the widespread instability in the newly formed universe. Eira was one of these wanderers. While they don’t know the exact circumstances of their creation, they are far from a “typical” wanderer. While most wanderers are fairly basic, sticking to one species or so, Eira seems to be a hybrid of some sorts. This proved to be a problem for them later down the line, but at this point Eira was more focused on dealing with the loneliness that comes with being born a wanderer.
Unlike eternals created by Chaos, Eira was naturally made to go through their existence in this state. Their perception of things like time are adjusted in order to keep them from going completely insane considering the many years they've lived. Additionally, their mental/physical development adjusts based on emotional milestones rather than biological ones. The most notable feature of all eternals is their immortality. So, for the first few years of Eira’s life, they wandered planet to planet hoping to find another soul like themselves.
…On one fateful expedition, Eira encountered a bug-like being in the same boat as they were. While Eira had startled from the initial encounter, once they’d got to talking Eira figured out the individual's name was “Hanabi”. The two of them decided that it’d stupid venturing alone, so they decided from then on to be travel partners. Together, the two of them could be each other's “person” in this vast universe. From that day on, the two were friends. More than friends even. They’d be companions until the end of time.
Would be companions. Of course, that guarantee slipped from the picture once Peace entered it.
While navigating a particularly interesting set of rifts, Hanabi and Eira accidentally found their way onto a planet known as Quescillia. After investigating a palace-like building, they found The Keeper of Life and Order, Peace. Since this was early on in the universe's inception, it took Peace for quite a loop when two random individuals somehow ended up on her doorstep. After explaining who they were and how they got to Quescilia, Peace in turn explained some simple facts about the universe they lived in and made Hanabi an offer to help him find a meaning in this life. Together, they could help maintain balance of the force of Order and preserve life itself.
Eira cautioned Hanabi against taking the offer, but he’d already jumped at taking it before Peace finished outlining the terms. This was exactly the purpose Hanabi was looking to find. If he could help in understanding life in this world and especially preserve it for hundreds of years to come, well he’d be as satisfied as he could be with his existence. Seeing that Hanabi clearly wasn’t going to budge on taking up Peace’s offer, it didn’t take much convincing for Eira to realize they were not going to be considered in this decision. Hanabi did convince Peace to let Eira join with a position as well, but Eira was about as hesitant to take it as Peace was offering it. From then on, Hanabi became Peace’s second in command whilst Eira became one of the first to join Peace’s army.
As a demonstration of Peace’s appreciation and trust, Hanabi was offered the opportunity of obtaining a symbol. Like he did before, Hanabi negotiated to bring Eira into the mix. This led to the creation of their dual symbol. Hanabi’s half, a wisp, and Eira’s half, a horn, would make together a circle. A true showcase of how the two completed each other through and through. They were companions until the end of time, weren’t they?
…“Companions until the end of time”. Well, with this decision they had made, time was sure closing on them fast.

"...Now I want you to leave me alone!"
| ❄️ Introduction

On first impression, Eira is quiet, stoic, and elusive. They carry an air of mystery to them, especially considering their notorious past as Peace’s “Beast”. While initially distant, Eira’s colder exterior holds a profound layer of warmth underneath. They aren’t one to flaunt their accomplishments, in fact they’d rather if people didn’t know about them to begin with. Eira’s bluntness also can admittedly intimidate or even frighten some people, as it is hard to read their emotions or understand what’s going on in their head. If you give it some time though, these walls of ice melt and allow their parental, compassionate nature to shine through.
If Eira is anything, they are loyal. Those they trust are few and far between, so if you manage to get on their good side, you will have someone who’d go to hell and back for you if asked. Eira, unlike Hanabi, speaks with their actions, not words. Though they struggle to express their care for others verbally, their insistence on providing as a caregiver shows their devotion plainly. Eira is essentially another display of somewhat stable maturity for the Warriors. Their persistence and strong-will gives them the inspiration to keep fighting on as they have. They quickly become a secondary mentor for the warriors, exhibiting a lot of “tough love” towards them.
Eira’s biggest hurdle, however, is trusting in the first place. The hurt they carry from the various betrayals they’ve endured throughout their life makes it near impossible for them to believe they can be loved. To most, Eira is a monster. And people don’t love monsters. At least not ones like Eira. They carry a nauseating fear that if they let anyone in, show any hint of vulnerability, they will experience a hurt worse than the last. The best thing for everyone, including themselves, would be if they were simply left alone. They’d already tried to find companionship, and look where that got them. They were never going to make the same mistake ever again.
…If Eira were honest though, all they want is to be able to love another again. They loved someone once. Loved them so deeply, they wanted to spend their entire existence with them. If only they could feel that way again. The so-called “admiration” they received from their past as “The Beast” was nothing in comparison to how it felt when they were with him. If only they hadn’t met Peace. If only. Then maybe things could’ve turned out better for the both of them.
Unfortunately for Eira though, in order to trust another, they have to confront the person who broke it in the first place.

They are the tallest member of the main cast.
As you’d expect, they are EXTREMELY strong. Like, able to lift up a boulder without breaking a sweat strong.
They rarely take off their face mask…I wonder what’s underneath it…
Their voice’s accent is similar to a Slavic one.
Hanabi and Eira’s horns are inverses of one another!
They have a striking resemblance to Chaos despite not actually being related. Unfortunate.
