SO MUCH BETTER!

I.E, a ramble on where Blanki’s been the last few months!

Hi hello!!! Been a while hasn’t it? In fact, it’s been a whole… (checks clock) THREE MONTHS since a blog post good lord!!!

I’ve evidently vanished for a while. Whoops. But it’s kind of to be expected from a huge life change (which I’ll get into more in just a moment). So if you’ve been wondering where I went, that’s what happened LOL. Life’s been moving faster than I’ve been able to process it these past few months, hence my sparse activity. However, I’m finally easing into the routine of things again so I can finally settle down and start talking about it! Both for me, and for you who generously takes the time to read any of my rambles. (Thank you for that, by the way!)

Long story short, a few months ago I started COLLEGE!!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! Queue everyone cheering and 5000 confetti sfx and what not. And I’ve been having the time of my life! Genuinely, I’ve never been so free! This was a life change I’ve been looking forward to (and fearing 💀) for years, something I think a lot of those with rougher upbringings in life can relate to. BUT ITS HERE! WIAOW!!! So, obviously, that’s the big reason I’ve been so on and off lately. With so much going on outside of my puter… I haven’t really given webdev or my other hobbies my full time attention! That doesn’t mean I haven’t been up to anything though! In fact I’ve been up to a scary amount of stuff…goodness me, I can’t believe it’s only been a few months. I’ve been delaying this long enough though, so LET’S GET INTO IT!!

THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED…in order more or less

I’ll be honest, I am really bad at recapping a lot of information, so I’m just braindumping about it all and praying you can all understand me. Enjoy!!!! This is more for me than others atp anyways LOL:

To start, a very obligatory part of college life is getting your dorm and Suffering through the tiny space. While I was initially afraid of dorming with other people, I was thankfully blessed with an awesome freaking roommate AND awesome suitemates. I’ve customized the space with obviously, things I had from home, but since moving in I’ve also gotten various new items!! The most noteable I’d say would be a second huge miku poster (Yes I have two now) because they had a poster sale and i couldnt resist LOL. I also finally got my shelter rin figure AND a teto figure! They live on my shelf now…I also obtained a donatello figure from an antique store which I was SO happy about. TMNT 2012 has like 0 surviving merch. This is a common thing with every major interest I’ve ever had btw 💀 Fighting tooth and nail to find anything of my blorbos that isnt absurdly hard to obtain or expensive as hell.

I’ve also been on so, SO many sidequests…to list a few, I went to an anime store w/ some friends, was paid by my teacher to watch camp miasma for class (one of the most absurd classes I’ve ever taken btw its so much fun) AND went to an arthouse theatre for the first time. I shortly after also went to the UNDERTALE SYMPHONY!!!! In general I’ve also been attending small events here and there, including a book fair that led to me getting the first heated rivalry book game changer. (Is this a sign I need to get into hockey yaoi. Maybe. Who knows.) I ALSO found out about regular figure drawing classes the art kids have every friday…so I plan to attend most of those as well! Sadly I’ve only made it to one thus far…but this WILL change!!!

Another big event was the BROADWAY RAVE I ATTENDED!!! I went with a classmate and it was really exciting! Nothing like belting defying gravity at 12 am lol (even if it was a little overwhelming at times). Maybe that’ll build me up to more of a traditional rave, we’ll see. Most important to me though is that I’ve started forming some nice connections with people at my dorms lounge! It’s been really wonderful, yesterday I saw someone shirtless with a jester hat on putting together a tightrope set up. Actually insane shit. I also met rhea seehorn AND inde navarette???? WHAT!!!! They both came to visit my school!!! Is it a coincidence that I see two insanely inspirational and intelligent successful women whilst finally freeing myself of the horrors? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I’m genuinely so lucky to have the opportunities that I have and I will take SO MUCH ADVANTAGE! As some of my friends have said…I am lucking out at the college of Joy and Whimsy…so I MUSNT take it for granted…

In terms of some more long-term stuff, I’ve been making films for class which has been scary but so much fun! I’ve also been reaching out to help people on set for various film projects. I can’t say much about them juuuuust yet but lets just say if things go well I will be drawing Yaoiful fanart for a student production among other things. Not even joking. I also got a bike and have been biking for the first time in many years!!! I have issues w/ staying grounded in reality so daily exercise helps! It also keeps me from dying walking to class everyday. It’s also been making me feel like the obligatory cool queer biker in a teen drama but I also know with the amount of shit I eat whilst biking (I never said I was a good one 💀) perhaps I need more training. Someday though…I will obtain my dream…

What else what else…well I got a haircut! A long needed one LOL, and I also donated blood for the first time! Did I do it for some hello kitty stickers…? …Partially. But mainly I just wanted to do it because I’d always wanted to! Along with that I’ve been watching a Lot of new media, especially thanks to my lounge friends. I think the main standout atm is The Pitt, which I’ve only watched the first season of but its sooooo good. My favorite character is Mel btw if you couldn’t clock that knowing anything about me. She’s everything to me!!! Love her silly ass. My media palette has been expanding a decent chunk and I think thats great! My letterboxd is more active than it has ever been so if you like listening to me rant about watching da movie you should check it out. Somehow it is less coherent than this though.

Of course, it’s not a Blanki update without some Bewilthredversing in the mix…and I have some to say about that too! I’ve been grinding out a lot of redesigns for Bewilthredversers lately, especially on the Masky Corp front. All the main crew have new designs now! I’ve also covered a few Bewilthred side characters who’ve been in desperate need of it. I also got to work a while back on redesigning the wop’s symbol forms! Those will likely take me a little longer to finalize (I haven’t started hanabi or eira’s yet lol) but I’ve got rough cuts for most of them! There is also ONLY ONE MORE ZEPHYR REVAMP CHAPTER LEFT TO OUTLINE!!! YIPEE!!!! This means the big rework I’ve been plotting is coming sooner than we may think…no huge promises though… Life is busy. Also just wanted to say that eonpy has been coming back to the forefront of my mind…so this is awesome news for eonpy truthers. The eonpy and kaite factions have signed a peace treaty at last…

Overall, I’ve had a lot of amazing things going on and I still have a lot to look forward to. Like I said, I think this is overall the best my life has been in a while, and it’s crazy because I keep saying this!!!! Especially after an extremely rough patch right before college hit, I’m just so thankful I even get to be here writing this. I try my best not to take what I have for granted, and I will use the time I have to continue doing what I love and hopefully some of you might like it too!

Anyways, all of that is to say that life has been good! And I hope it continues being good. I am also manifesting that all of you reading will have 100x the goodness as well!!! Let us all be so much better, ok? Yes, I titled this after the legally blonde song. Love that fucking musical.
